As you'll have seen, there is an issue with telemetry on board Telefónica at the moment. We are losing them from time to time and when they are back we have to draw a straight line to the latest position.
This just in from Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing: "Got pinched out on the mark. Tough spot for us now trailing the fleet. Hopefully we can use a bit of our local knowledge and make some gains."
Telefónica leading by just over 0.1nm, CAMPER follow, then PUMA, Groupama and Abu Dhabi. There is just over 0.5nm from leader to last.

It was a difficult start and upwind tack to the mark, with the boats very even. We defended the left hand side, which went well for us. Groupama also went to the left but it didn't come off for them. Once again we're scrapping with CAMPER. They're very close so we can't lose let our guard down. Diego.
Hi all, we're still having tracker issues on Telefonica but they are in the lead still. They have about 300m on CAMPER.
@AndyMeiklejohn, the tracker is designed to update every minute. However, the positions on the Leg 2 Report board will update every hour.
Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing's Ian Walker explains what went wrong at the start for them: "We set up on port to duck everyone but Groupama were miles off the line so that stuffed up our start." Watch the video here new.livestream.com
The wind is starting to shift to the right, after unexpectedly tending more westerly. The boats aren't true reaching yet, but are expected to be in about an hour, with their speed to ramp up! The wind is a steady 20 knots.
Telefónica have extended their lead over CAMPER to 0.29 nm, plus the Spanish have extended the distance between them and Abu Dhabi in fifth place, to 0.9nm. PUMA remain in third and Groupama fourth.
thanks, Dave. You beat me to it!
